Finding the “I” in Influence
What’s next in your professional journey?
Finding the “I” in Influence is a career development program at the University of Pittsburgh open to all faculty members (tenure-track and non-tenure-track) across departments, schools, and career stages. Whether you are hoping to decode academia’s unwritten rules; find your voice to make your contributions visible; or step confidently into leadership at the department, school, or university level, this program meets you where you are.
The program was created to address the unique barriers that faculty members with different cultural backgrounds and experiences encounter on their path to leadership in academic settings. Through a structured combination of interactive workshops, sustained mentoring, and a strategic peer community, you will build practical professional skills, form lasting relationships, and connect with colleagues who understand what it takes to find your voice.
This is not a promotion or tenure preparation program; it is a space to grow, connect, and explore what leadership can look like for you.
