ICRE Introduces Two New Programs

Training Early Academic Mentors (TEAM) Program

The TEAM Program is designed to help new mentors acquire the skills and knowledge they need to be effective in working with their trainees. The program, which is scheduled to launch in January 2012, will be open to assistant and associate professors who are currently serving as a research mentor to at least one trainee. Program participants must be able to identify a mentor of their own or be willing to be paired with a senior faculty member who will serve as their master mentor.

The deadline to apply for the program is November 30, 2011.

to K Award (RAMP to K) Program

The RAMP to K Program is intended to provide early-career faculty with the skills and mentorship needed to write a competitive proposal for a career development award. During the 1-year program, participants will meet on a monthly basis and receive intensive support in the preparation of a proposal for a K award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
