ICRE to Recognize Class of 2020 with Virtual Celebration

Many academic programs at the University of Pittsburgh and across the country have had to forgo their traditional, in-person graduation ceremonies this spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Institute for Clinical Research Education also had to cancel its commencement ceremony—an annual celebration of both training and degree program graduates that has been held since 2002—which was originally scheduled for May 19. However, the ICRE will be recognizing and celebrating the class of 2020 through a graduation video which will stream on Saturday, June 13, at 10:00 a.m. EDT via the ICRE’s YouTube channel.

The graduation video includes an inspirational keynote address from Dr. Edward M. Barksdale, Jr., special messages from Program Directors, and, most importantly, recognition of each of our graduates and a brief word on their next steps! We hope that you will be able to join us in watching this video and celebrating our outstanding graduates.
