Clinical Scientist Track
University of Pittsburgh residents in the Clinical Scientist Track pursue mentored research and a clinical research seminar throughout their clinical training. In addition, they devote 2 months to completing an intensive curriculum in clinical research during their second year of residency. International Scholars Program for Residents
Residents in this program pursue mentored research and a clinical research seminar throughout their clinical training. The Research Education in Advancing Investigative Careers for Housestaff and Fellows (REACH) Program
Participation in REACH requires sponsorship from the candidate's clinical department, with a guarantee of at least 75% protected time for the 2 months necessary to complete the coursework. For residents and fellows who participate in REACH as part of a formal training program, recognition and academic feedback will be provided to their program directors.
