Certificate in Clinical Research
The Certificate in Clinical Research offers training in the design and conduct of high quality clinical research involving human subjects. It is granted upon completion of the core curriculum in Clinical Research (10 credits), plus 5 additional credits of coursework that have been approved by the program. Certificate in Medical Education
The Certificate in Medical Education is available for individuals pursuing careers in medical education and clinical teaching. Trainees must complete 7 units of required coursework, plus 8 elective credits from the Medical Education curriculum that are designed around the individual needs of the student. Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Research
The Master of Science in Clinical Research offers training in the design and conduct of high quality clinical research involving human subjects. The degree requires completion of the core curriculum in Clinical Research (10 credits), course requirements for one of the specialty tracks focused on research methodologies, and elective courses. Trainees may also complete courses for an optional area of concentration. In addition, all trainees must complete a final project/thesis. To read more about the MS in Clinical Research, click here.
Master of Science (MS) in Medical Education
The Master of Science in Medical Education consists of a tightly integrated curriculum with 3 components: (1) coursework plus observed teaching activities focusing on adult learning, classroom and clinical teaching skills, curriculum development, innovation in medical education, professional development, and medical administration; (2) additional courses to provide trainees with fundamental research skills; and (3) a project on curriculum development or a mentored research project. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical and Translational Science
The Doctorate in Clinical and Translational Science is a rigorous, advanced training program designed primarily for clinicians that will substantially enhance the capabilities of trainees to conduct high quality clinical and translational research.
The program will teach students advanced knowledge of research concepts that will allow them to conduct innovative research and provide students with the skills to master a body of research knowledge that will allow them to develop into independent clinical and translational investigators.

  • The goal of CEED is help trainees successfully compete for early career development awards (such as KO8, K12, K23, K25, VA, and other awards) with intensive training in grant writing, preparation of publications, mentoring, and development of leadership and management skills.
