Francisco Bonilla-Escobar is a physician with a master’s degree in Epidemiology and is a second year PhD student in Clinical Research and Translational Science at the Institute for Clinical Research Education (ICRE) in the University of Pittsburgh. Francisco is interested in public health and epidemiology research with a special emphasis in low- and middle-income countries in the areas of trauma. Additionally, he is doing research in ophthalmology regarding ocular burns. He wants to pursue a career in translational research and clinical ophthalmology.
