Program Admission Requirements
The PhD Program in Clinical and Translational Science is designed for students who have an advanced clinical degree (MD, DMD, PharmD, etc.) or are enrolled in a clinical doctoral degree program. Admission decisions are based on the student's academic records, research experience, letters of recommendation, written statement of interest, participation in a personal interview, and standardized test scores. U.S. applicants must provide a score from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). Non-U.S. applicants whose native language is not English must provide a score from the GRE or MCAT plus a score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
Students usually have the following:
- Prior research experience.
- A grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5.
- Competitive GRE and MCAT Scores.
- For non-U.S. applicants, a minimum score of 600 on the TOEFL pBT, a minimum of 250 on the TOEFL cBT, or a minimum of 100 on the TOEFL iBT.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 15.
