Graduate Spotlight
H. Patrick Driscoll, MD, MS, began his research training in 2001 in the molecular gerontology laboratory at the National Institute on Aging in Baltimore, Maryland. For 2 years, under the mentorship of Drs. Robert M. Brosh and Wilhelm Bohr, he worked on biochemically characterizing the Werner syndrome helicase and its role in aging. In 2003, he entered the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and pursued further research training in the inaugural class of the Clinical Scientist Training Program (CSTP) for Medical Students. He completed his MS in Clinical Research in 2008 and is this fall's ICRE Graduate Spotlight. Click here to read more.
Welcome
The primary goal of the Office of Lifelong Learning (OLL) is to provide continued educational benefits, mentoring, and information about grant opportunities to alumni of degree programs and research training programs offered by the Institute for Clinical Research Education (ICRE). Through the OLL, alumni can also gain access to past and current course materials and take advantage of networking opportunities with other alumni and faculty. Membership is free and available to students and trainees upon completion of an ICRE program.
