Certificate in Clinical Research: Overview
To receive the Certificate in Clinical Research, trainees must complete 15 credits of coursework. It generally takes 1 year to fulfill the requirements for the certificate.
The certificate is granted upon completion of the intensive 8-week block of summer courses, the ethics seminar, and 5 additional credits of coursework that have been approved by the program director or core curriculum director.
Certificate students who wish to enroll in the research design and development course must submit their request to the Leadership Committee and include a one-page statement that (1) describes the research project they plan to develop into a grant proposal and (2) lists the faculty member who will serve as their research mentor for the proposal.
Certificate students cannot enroll in the Research Design and Development course unless their request has been approved by the Leadership Committee.
