Certificate in Comparative Effectiveness Research: Overview
The Certificate in Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) Program is a multidisciplinary, comprehensive, and individualized training program that is designed for individuals who would like to obtain additional, specialized training in CER.
To receive the certificate in CER, trainees must complete 15 credits of coursework.
In total, the program offers 35 credits in CER methodology. Trainees will be required to take the CER core curriculum, consisting of 13 credits. They will select the remaining 2 credits from 16 elective courses.
The maximum time allowed by the University to complete a certificate program is 4 years. However, most trainees will complete the requirements for the certificate in CER during 1 to 2 years of graduate study.
