Eligibility
Students who are in the process of applying to the University of Pittsburgh Internal Medicine Residency Program should complete the CSTP online application to apply for the CSTP. Only students who have received an invitation to interview for residency will be considered for the CSTP for Residents.
Deadline
Each year, the application deadline for the incoming class is January 30. However, we request that you complete the CSTP application prior to your interview with the Admissions Committee of the University of Pittsburgh Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Qualifications
The Admissions Committee of the CSTP for Residents favors applicants who have distinguished academic qualifications; a high level of interest in, commitment to, and aptitude for the pursuit of innovative clinical research in academic medicine; and strong recommendations from their previous faculty. Special consideration is given to applicants who have experience in clinical research and have been listed as an author or coauthor of a scientific publication.
