Eligibility
Students who are in the process of applying to residency at the University of Pittsburgh should complete the on-line admissions application program in order to apply to the CSTP for Residents. Only students who have received an invitation to interview for residency can apply to the CSTP for Residents.
Deadline
Each year, the application deadline for the incoming class is January 30. However, we request that you complete the application prior to your interview with the University of Pittsburgh Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Qualifications
The CSTP Admissions Committee favors applicants who have distinguished academic qualifications; a high level of interest in, commitment to, and aptitude for the pursuit of innovative clinical research in academic medicine; and strong recommendations from their previous faculty. Special consideration is given to candidates who have experience in clinical research and have been listed as an author or coauthor of a scientific publication.
