- For medical students, fellows, and faculty who want intense training in the design and conduct of high quality clinical research involving human subjects.
- Is granted upon the completion of the core curriculum in Clinical Research (10 credits), the research design and development seminar series (5 credits), course requirements for one of the specialty tracks focused on research methodologies, elective courses, and a final project/thesis.
- MS students may also complete courses for an optional area of concentration.

- For fellows and faculty pursuing careers in medical education and clinical teaching who want intense training on clinical education.
- Is granted upon the completion of the tightly integrated curriculum with 3 components: (1) coursework plus observed teaching activities focusing on adult learning, classroom and clinical teaching skills, curriculum development, innovation in medical education, professional development, and medical administration; (2) additional courses to provide trainees with fundamental research skills; and (3) a project on curriculum development or a mentored research project.

- It is granted upon completion of the core curriculum in Clinical Research (10 credits), plus 5 additional credits of coursework that have been approved by the program.

- It is granted upon the completion 7 units of required coursework, plus 8 elective credits from the Medical Education curriculum that are designed around the individual needs of the student.
