Letters of Support

Applicants from a variety of disciplines and all of the schools of the health sciences are encouraged to apply for the CRSP.

The CRSP application must include the following:

  1. A letter of support from the applicant's division chief, department chair, or school dean. The letter must include:
    1. A statement that at least 75% of the applicant's time will be protected for the duration of the applicant's participation in the CRSP.
    2. A description of the expected impact of the CRSP on the applicant's career.
    3. A description of the focus, direction, and multidisciplinary nature of the division/department/school's centers, institutes, or laboratories that are relevant to the applicant's proposed work and a discussion of how the applicant's research fits into this organization.
    4. A description of the division/department/school's resources (financial and other) that will be provided to the applicant as a reflection of the organization's commitment to the applicant's career development.
  2. Two letters of reference from individuals who are knowledgeable about the applicant's qualifications. These letters should describe the applicant's qualifications and discuss the applicant's competence and potential to develop into an independent multidisciplinary clinical investigator.
